Doug regularly contributes to three columns that you may read here on Doug's site. Doug is an Opinion columnist for The New York Times whose series of columns covers the game, its controversies and what it has taught him about every day life. Doug is also a columnist for Time Ideas where he provides insight and opinions about the world of sports and its impact on life.  He is an MLB analyst on the many platforms of ESPN and his commentary appears regularly on



In addition to these regular columns, Doug writes for a variety of other outlets which may be found in the articles.

CT House Bill 6863

Doug shares information on a Connecticut law that prohibits an officer from crossing town lines to enforce municipal ordinances. The law stems from an experience Doug had while shoveling his driveway in February of 2014.
